Munich (DE), 13th February 2013. The 2013 season will once again see
a bright yellow BMW M3 DTM on the starting grid. Deutsche Post is
continuing its commitment as Premium Partner of BMW Motorsport. Timo
Glock (DE) will be at the wheel of the DEUTSCHE POST BMW M3 DTM, which
will be run by BMW Team MTEK.
“I am delighted the partnership with Deutsche Post is now entering
its second season following an extremely successful debut together in
the DTM last year”, said BMW Motorsport Director Jens Marquardt.
“Together with our Premium Partner, we were able to enjoy good results
in 2012, culminating in BMW Team Schnitzer winning the team title at
the end of the year. I am sure our DTM newcomers at BMW Team MTEK,
with Timo Glock at the wheel, will also cause the odd upset.”
Ingo Bohlken, CEO Dialog Marketing Deutsche Post, said: “There are
two reasons for Deutsche Post to be delighted to continue as the
Premium Partner of BMW Motorsport in the DTM. On the one hand, the
companies’ philosophies are well suited to each other. Speed, dynamic,
innovation and teamwork play a major role for both sides. On the other
hand, we are also delighted to be able to continue working with our
long-term partner Timo Glock in the DTM. We know Timo very well and
are confident he will be an outstanding ambassador for Deutsche Post,
BMW Motorsport and the DTM as a whole.”
Glock and Deutsche Post can already look back on a long partnership.
The BMW works driver has been on the jury at the “Deutsche Post Speed
Academy” since 2004. The academy, which is sponsored by Deutsche Post,
sees racing and media experts prepare talented German drivers for a
career as professional racing drivers.
“To drive the DEUTSCHE POST BMW M3 DTM in my first season in the DTM
is something very special for me,” said Glock. “I have enjoyed a good,
close working relationship with my partner Deutsche Post for many
years. I am proud I am now able to appear in the DTM in the yellow
that is so characteristic of the company.”
